Dear A+ Patients,
Starting in October 2024, I’ll be introducing a pay-as-you-go (“Non-Membership'“), fee-for-service option alongside the A+ Membership model. This update is about giving you more financial options, without changing your treatment.
What’s Changing?
I’ve decided to standardize the A+ Membership rate to $200/month to simplify things and ensure consistency. Over the past few years, I’ve experimented with different pricing models, and while this allowed for growth, it also led to some unintentional discrepancies. This new structure is designed to be fairer and more straightforward for everyone.
• If the new rate is lower for you, you don’t need to do anything—your membership will continue at the reduced rate.
• If the new rate is higher, you will be given a credit for 60 or 90 days depending on how long you’ve been a member. This credit will cover the difference between your current rate and the new $200 rate, ensuring your rate won't immediately change. If we don’t hear from you by October 31st, your membership will be put on hold until we receive your decision.
Your Options:
1. Stay an A+ Member at the new rate of $200/month. If your membership rate is decreasing, you do not have to do anything. The new rate goes into effect starting October 1, 2024.
2. Switch to Fee-for-Service, paying only for the care you need, when you need it. See below for the rate table.
3. End Membership if you decide the new rate is not doable. I will work with you on transitioning your care to another provider of your choice.
For any patient wishing to switch to non-member status, or wishing to end membership, please let us know as soon as possible. If you decide to switch after your auto-bill date in October, we will give you a credit for the prorated days left on your membership until the net billing date. Starting in November, please provide 30 days’ notice if you plan to switch out of membership, where possible.
Why Make This Change?
Since starting my practice in 2022, I’ve experimented with different pricing models. While this has helped me fine-tune my services, it has also led to unintentional pricing inconsistencies.
Fair & Sustainable: This change creates a more consistent and manageable system, ensuring everyone receives equitable pricing and the same high-quality care.
Focus on Medication Management: This new system is more provider- and patient- friendly for facilitating efficient medication management appointments, which is what most of my patients see me for. l will continue to provide supportive therapy and share my awesome tips and tricks for ADHD, as I always have! Both A+ members and non-members can schedule longer appointments to discuss stressful situations or life changes, in addition to regular medication management.
Flexibility and Affordability: I want the practice to be accessible to more people. With the fee-for-service option, patients have the flexibility to receive care without a monthly commitment, making my services more affordable for those who need occasional medication management.
Next Steps:
Rates take effect in October 2024. For patients whose rates are increasing, you’ll already have a credit applied to your account, so you won’t be charged more in October. For those who’s rates are increasing, we’ll be reaching out to discuss this in more detail and answer any questions you might have.
Thank you for your continued trust in me.
Sincerely,
Jess Levy, MD
